Established in 2002, Lost Horizon International Handicraft Industry is one the largest manufacturers, wholesalers and exporters of handmade organic felt products in Nepal.
Our core mission is to create as well as expand opportunities for underprivileged and physically disabled women in remote areas of Terai and Himalayan parts of Nepal by providing free basic and advanced training of New Zealand wool (felt products).
We value human and workplace rights. Our employees are treated with respect, given equal opportunities and paid fairly no matter who they are or where they come from. They receive benefits in terms of health care, education, food and clothes for their children. Our organization is free from child labour and forced labour.
We believe in creating socioeconomic opportunities for disadvantaged and underprivileged individuals. We provide free basic and advanced training to women in producing felt products and employment opportunities to individuals in the local communities, helping them become financially independent.
We are actively involved in uplifting the communities we live and work in. We provide employment opportunities to the minorities and impoverished individuals. We make active efforts to support and encourage children from underprivileged families to pursue their education.
Lost Horizon received an appreciation certificate from the Nepal Wool Felt Producers & Exporters Association (NWFPEA) for its valuable contribution to the Felt Industry in Nepal.
Lost Horizon received an appreciation certificate for it’s contribution in building a science lab for Shree Saraswoti Secondary School in Jitpur, which is close to its factory in Chitwan.
Lost Horizon recently built a home for one of its employees, Ms. Kamala Kumal. Ms. Kumal is a hardworking individual at Lost Horizon with lots of dedication and focus for her work.
